2 Port NMEA to WiFi Bridge |
The 'Yakker' 2 Port NMEA to WiFi Bridge allows you to connect 2 seperate NMEA devices and transmit your NMEA data to all of your WiFi devices.
The Yakker creates it's own WiFi hot spot for your devices to connect to, or
the Yakker can connect to your onboard router, enabling your devices
to receive the data that way. The Yakker supports both UDP and TCP protocols. |

Hook Up... |
Connecting the Yakker to your Chartplotter or other NMEA 0183 gear couldn't be simpler.
Just connect the Yakker to the same Ground and 12v source as your equipment.
Then connect the NMEA Out+/Tx+ wire of one device to the Yakker's Rx1 terminal.
The other device is connected to the Rx2 terminal. You can set each of the Yakker's
ports to different speeds, so you can connect your Chartplotter at 4800 baud and your
AIS receiver at 38400 baud. The Yakker queues the data from the 2 inputs and sends them
out in the order received so no data is lost. |
|
And Go... |
Use the Yakker to wirelessly send your ship's data to Navigation apps like iNavx,
OpenCPN etc. Whether you just want to display your ship's position as you navigate,
or have all your instrument data displayed plus an AIS overlay to keep an eye on other
marine traffic. |
